How Multi-Tab Inboxes Work on Email Generator

1. Your First Address Loads Automatically: Opening the homepage creates your initial active temporary mailbox.
2. Spawn Additional Mailboxes With `+ Add Tab`: Click Add Tab in the control bar beneath the address input. Email Generator provisions a brand-new random address (distributed across active domains in the pool) and adds it to your Active Mailboxes strip.
3. Switch in One Click: Each pill in the Active Mailboxes strip displays its email address and live message count badge. Click any pill to view its messages immediately without reloading the page.
4. Clean Tab Closure: Clicking the × button on an inactive mailbox pill removes it from your browser workspace and triggers a message purge request for that session.

Where Your Active Mailbox List Is Stored

Your active mailbox list and preferences are stored locally in your browser's localStorage—not tied to a personal user profile:

• Per-Browser & Per-Device: Tabs created in Chrome on your laptop stay local to that browser; opening Safari on your phone starts a separate session (unless you share a direct inbox link or scan the QR Code).
• Incognito Windows Clear on Exit: Closing all private/incognito windows discards local browser storage automatically.
• Direct Link Sharing: Need to view the same temporary address on a second device? Click Share or QR Code next to the address bar.
